Fundraising

Are you interested in an Institute session, but you're low on funds? Check out the tips below on where you can find resources to attend.

  • Ask Your Fraternity/Sorority Life Office: Many offices have funding opportunities for student leadership development.
  • Talk to Your Chapter: With the plan to be able to return to campus and give back to your organization, this is an investment your chapter can make on the impact you'll have when you return.
  • Reach Out to Your Council: Approach your council with a proposal to support your attendance, how you will impact your fraternity/sorority community, and how you will give back through this incredible opportunity.
  • Check In With Your Student Government or Student Affairs Office: Ask them about support to attend. Many have funding set aside students can apply for to support their conference attendance.
  • Start Your Own Fundraising/Crowdsourcing: Start a page like KickStarter or GoFundMe and ask friends, family, brothers/sisters, advisors, etc. You only need 27 people to give you $25, and you’re set! Don’t underestimate who is willing to help you!

Things You Need to Know

Substance Free: the Institute is a drug and alcohol free educational program and environment. All participants, regardless of age, are not to bring or use alcohol or drugs during the Institute. There are no exceptions. Violation of this policy results in expulsion from the session at the violator's own expense.

Schedule

Our sessions are great locations with a lot to see and do, but please note that there is no available time within the program for sightseeing. If you would like to arrive early or stay late, you are welcome to do so but this would occur at your own expense. Additionally, participants are not be able to use program resources for “vacation” accommodations, transportation, etc.

Nominate Someone!

Do you know someone who would benefit from attending the Institute? Nominate them here! Your personal recommendation could be the encouragement that someone needs to get outside their comfort zone and take part in this transformational experience!
